Dave Lapp, D+Q Nominated for Ignatz Awards

Announced last week, the nominees for the 2009 Ignatz Awards, the comix prize handed out at the Small Press Expo (SPX), have been announced. Chosen by a jury of cartoonists, the ballot is voted on by festival attendees and the winners will be announced at this year's SPX, September 26th. Among the nominees this year were Toronto's Dave Lapp, for Outstanding Graphic Novel, and Montreal publisher Drawn and Quarterly, whose books were nominated in several categories.
